How to choose a TV
The best TV for you depends on your room, how far you sit from the screen and what you watch most.
1. Pick the right size
| Viewing distance | Recommended size |
|---|---|
| 1.5–2m | 43–50″ |
| 2–2.5m | 55″ |
| 2.5–3m | 65″ |
| 3m+ | 75″ and above |
2. OLED or LED?
OLED TVs light each pixel individually, which gives perfect blacks, wide viewing angles and outstanding contrast, ideal for films in a dim room. LED and Mini LED TVs get brighter, which helps in very bright rooms.
3. HDR and picture formats
Look for Dolby Vision or HDR10+ support to get the best from streaming services. All the TVs we sell support standard HDR10 and HLG.
4. Gaming features
If you play on a PS5, Xbox Series X or gaming PC, look for HDMI 2.1, 120Hz or 144Hz refresh and VRR for smooth, low-lag gameplay.
5. Don’t forget the sound
Thin TVs have limited room for speakers. A soundbar is the easiest upgrade for clearer dialogue and fuller sound.
